What is the difference between a cream and a lotion?

otions are not as rich in texture as a cream;.creams are too thick to be pumped from a bottle and must be placed in jars. They are better for those with dry skin as they contain shea or cocoa butter unlike typical lotions. We can make a lotion containing shea and/or cocoa butter but the percentage of cocoa or shea butter will be below 15%
What is the difference between a cream and a body butter?
Body butters are much richer than a cream and is considered stiff or hard in consistency. Cocoa and Shea butters melt at body temperature, so while it may be hard in the container as soon as it touches your body it starts to melt (well like butter) into your skin. Body Butters contain at least 75% cocoa or shea butter and is very thick and also placed in jars.
